Police have apprehended a man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that injured a man and woman who were crossing a Hudson Valley street. The crash happened on Saturday, Dec. 4, in Rockland County, in the Village of Suffern. Head-On Rockland Crash Seriously Injures Two After Mercedes Driver Loses Control, Police Say
Two drivers received serious injuries during a head-on crash in Suffern. The crash took place around 8 p.m., Thursday, March 28, on Orange Avenue, after an 83-year-old Valley Cottage man driving a Mercedes-Benz suffered a medical episode and lost control of his vehicle, Suffern Police said. According to police, the man was traveling north on Orange Avenue when he suffered the medical event and swerved into the southbound lane smashing into an oncoming van driven by a 52-year-old Montebello man. Motorists may see delays on a busy local roadway as contracting crews continue infrastructure modification work at the Orange Avenue Apartments in Suffern. Officials issued an alert cautioning that there will be lane closures on Chestnut Street and Blauvelt Way from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily through Friday, May 11, as they continue infrastructure modification work as part of the Orange Avenue Apartments Project.
