Duo Nabbed In Drug Den Full Of People In Region, Sheriff Says Two people were arrested after sheriff's deputies served a warrant at an apartment in the region known as a frequent drug den. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 3 a.m., Friday, June 9 at 18 Roosevelt Place, Apartment 16 in Monticello. "The residence is well known in the neighborhood as a drug-prone location where the injection and smoking of illicit substances take place," said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Two New Target Stores Coming To Westchester Two new Target locations are preparing to open their doors to customers in Westchester. They will be in Port Chester and Yonkers. The Port Chester store, which will be a draw both New York and Connecticut residents, is planning an 89,000-square-foot location in the Gateway Shopping Plaza at 495 Post Road which is already home to Whole Foods and Old Navy, according to store officials.  The Yonkers store, the first in the city, will be 132,000-square-feet and located at the Cross Country Center, store officials added. Heavy Smoke At GAP Distribution Center Causes Evacuation Numerous fire departments are on the scene of a "smoke" situation at the Gap Distribution Center in the village of Fishkill, the site of one of the region's worst fires. According to New York State Police, reports of smoke in one of the large commercial buildings was reported around noon on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the center located at 110 Merritt Blvd., said Trooper AJ Hicks. Employees have been evacuated from the building, and firefighters are searching for the source of the smoke, he said. No fire was visible at the time.
