45 Arrested At Yale University Over Student Protests On War In Gaza
Police arrested some 45 protesting the war in Gaza at Yale University after refusing to leave the campus. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m., Monday, April 22, in Beinecke Plaza at Yale University in New Haven. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, officers responded to assist the Yale Police Department regarding a protest in the Beinecke Plaza area. Man Indicted For Murder In Westchester For Fatal Shooting, Robbery
A 52-year-old suspect has been indicted and returned to New York on murder charges for allegedly robbing and fatally shooting a man in Westchester, the District Attorney’s Office announced. Virginia resident Percell Ross Blakely, of Covington, Virginia, is in custody after allegedly stealing property and shooting 62-year-old Andres Valenzuela on Main Street in New Rochelle last year. Police Investigating If Road Rage Led To Fatal Shooting Of Yale University Graduate Student
A Yale University graduate student who was killed after being shot multiple times may have been targeted and police are investigating if the killing was an act of road rage. Kevin Jiang, age 26, who lived in West Haven, was shot to death on Lawrence Street between Nicoll Street and Nash Street Saturday, Feb. 6. During a press conference on Monday, Feb. 8, New Haven Police Chief Otoniel Reyes said Jiang was familiar with the neighborhood where he was killed, and that a vehicle was involved in the incident. Most Wanted Fugitive In Double-Murder Case Caught In Area
A 54-year-old man named one of U.S. Marshals’ 15 most wanted fugitives was captured 16 years after he allegedly killed his sister and an ex-girlfriend in New York City. Andre Neverson, 54, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 4 after U.S. Marshals and police received information that he was hiding in a house in Bridgeport, authorities said. U.S. Marshals and Bridgeport Police closed in when Neverson was spotted leaving the home.
