Boy 15, Indicted For Bringing Gun To High School In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley 15-year-old boy has been indicted for allegedly bringing a loaded gun to an area high school. The student was indicted in Rockland County on Monday, Feb. 6 for bringing the gun to Nanuet High School on Monday, Jan. 30, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh. The student was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds. A student at a Hudson Valley high school has been charged with felony possession of a weapon after a loaded gun was allegedly found in his belonging. The incident took place in Rockland County around 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30 at Nanuet High School, at 103 Church St., in Nanuet. Sewer Issue Causes Closure Of High School In Hudson Valley
A sewer issue has caused the closure of a high school in the Hudson Valley on Wednesday, Sept. 7. In Rockland County, the issue with the main sewer discharge line at Nanuet High School surfaced on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 6, the Nanuet Union Free School District announced. A former Nanuet High School star baseball players is going pro in Rockland County. Right-hander Colin Kelly, a 2011 graduate of Nanuet High School, who made a name for himself during four years at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. will live out his dream after signing to play pro ball with the Rockland Boulders in the Frontier League. Police Investigate Pair Who Asked Nanuet HS Student To Get On Small White Bus
A pair in a school bus were investigated after approaching a high school student in Rockland County and asking her to get on the bus. A senior at Nanuet High School said that she was approached by a small white school bus with no markings at approximately 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, near the intersection of Somerset Drive and Middletown Road in Pearl River. Sex-Harassment Case Involving Ex-Principal Settled By Nanuet School
A teacher who accused longtime Nanuet High School Principal Vincent Carella of rape and sexual harassment has reportedly reached a settlement with the district and will drop her million dollar lawsuit. The teacher, who currently no longer has an assignment in the district, will collect her $109,000 annual salary, as well as union-mandated raises through June 2022, according to a lohud report. She will also receive health benefits and thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees.
