Restaurant & Pizzeria In Area Suffers Heavy Damage From Fire
Pearl River firefighters battled an early morning fire at an area pizzeria. The Pearl River Fire Department responded to the call around 3:22 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, at Sorrento's Restaurant at 54 N. Middletown Road in Pearl River in a shopping plaza, the department said on Facebook. Once on the scene, firefighters found heavy smoke conditions in the building and sprinkler activation inside the restaurant. Pearl River Road Closed Following Single-Vehicle Crash
A major roadway in Pearl River is closed following a vehicle crash that resulted in an area power outage in Pearl River. The Orangetown Police Department said N. Middletown Road will remain closed until 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23, between Hovencamp and Towline roads following the crash that took place around 4 a.m. The vehicle struck a utility pole and as a result, local residents and businesses may experience periodic power outages while Orange & Rockland Utilities replace the pole.

Five businesses have been cited following an underage drinking inspection conducted by the Orangetown Police Department and the New York State Liquor Authority on Thursday, April 18. The inspections took place at numerous locations throughout the Town and Village of Nyack, police say. The 2019 Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernian’s St. Patrick’s Parade is scheduled for Sunday, March 17 at 1:30 p.m. and will necessitate a series of road closures and diversions.
