Investigation Underway After Discovery Of Dead Man In Area Apartment Police are conducting an investigation after a man was found dead inside an area apartment. The unidentified man's body was discovered around 4:36 p.m., Monday, March 2 in the City of Poughkeepsie after police received a 911 call asking for a welfare check. The man was found inside an apartment at 399 Main St., said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark. The incident took place around 12:45 a.m., Friday, July 26, when Town of Poughkeepsie Police officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street, said the Lt. Michael O’Dowd.
