Two Men Shot As Fights Break Out Overnight In Poughkeepsie Two men suffered gunshot wounds as fights broke out amid a large crowd overnight in the City of Poughkeepsie, Lt. Matt Clark said. The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the area of Church and Academy streets. A 29-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to live, Clark said.  The victim was not able to speak with detectives about what happened due to his injury.
