New Jersey’s first coronavirus fatality was a 69-year-old Little Ferry man who worked at Yonkers Raceway, which canceled racing Tuesday night, March 10 from concerns that others may have contracted the virus, officials said. Rogue Rockland Moving Companies Fined
Two unlicensed moving companies from Rockland were snagged in a New Jersey undercover sting that cost them $2,500 each, authorities announced Monday. Big Men in Trucks from Sloatsburg and Enterprise Van Lines from Congers each has the option of seeking mitigation or requesting an administrative hearing to contest the violation and civil penalty, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Man Pleads Guilty Of Trying To Torch Jeep In Blooming Grove, Report Says
ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. - A 28-year-old man has pleaded guilty to torching a Jeep in Blooming Grove last year, according to a Times Herald-Record report. Little Ferry, N.J. resident Michael Ferrante Jr. pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree arson after admitting to attempting to light a friend's 2008 Jeep Wrangler on fire in Orange County last July, according to the report. As part of the guilty plea, it is expected that Ferrante will be sentenced to six months in jail, followed by five years probation. The judge reportedly capped the sentence at that term.
