As New York native and hip hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs faces federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, his mother is coming to his defense while also admitting he has made mistakes, according to reports.
Combs's mother, Janice Small Combs, released a statement defending her son, who was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 17 on a three-count indictment accusing him of running a criminal enterprise that involved sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice, BBC reported on Monday, Oct. 7.

A man accused of stabbing a Rockland County library security guard to death has pleaded not guilty.
Blanchard Glaudin, 25, homeless, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder on Thursday, Feb. 27, for the Feb. 18, stabbing death of Sandra Wilson, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II.
Glaudin, who was out of jail without bail at the time of the murder, allegedly stabbed Wilson, who worked as a security guard at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley, after she asked him to turn the music down coming from his earphones.

Area Man Who Allegedly Shot, Killed Another, Calls To Report Crime, Police Say
A 21-year-old area man was found shot to death after the alleged shooter called the police to report the crime.
The shooting took place around 1209 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a 911 call from a person reporting he had shot and killed the victim, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
Responding officers found the person shot, a 21-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Clark said.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
