81-Year-Old Man Charged With Fatal Shooting In Area, State Police Say
An 81-year-old Hudson Valley man is facing a murder charge after allegedly fatally shooting a 24-year-old man in the middle of the day, New York State Police announced. The New York State Bureau of Investigation in Sullivan County is investigating a homicide in the Town of Tusten following the shooting at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 22. Isaias: Utility Companies Face Fines Of $137M After Investigation Into Storm Response
Utility companies in New York are facing millions in fines for their muted and unprepared response to Tropical Storm Isaias after the New York State Public Service Commission completed its months-long investigation into their responses. Con Edison, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and Central Hudson now face fines of more than $137 million in total. Charter Spectrum, NY Close To Deal That Would Let It Stay In State
The New York Public Service Commission is extending settlement talks with Charter Communications as the two sides potentially near a deal to keep the company in the state. Last July, the PSC issued an order kicking Charter out of New York, alleging that the company didn’t meet requirements to extends its network to underserved areas in the state.
