ID Released For Man Found Dead In Lake Carmel A Fairfield County man found dead in Lake Carmel after an exhaustive search has been identified by police in Putnam County. Jeremy Kipnis, 54, of Redding, was found floating in the middle of Lake Carmel around 5:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, said the Kent Police. Kipnis disappeared after telling his wife he was going swimming Saturday afternoon, July 20, but then never returned home. His wife, Carolina Kipnis, said on Facebook that a preliminary autopsy report showed Kipnis had a heart attack in the water. "There is no way we could have known," she said on Facebook. Wesleyan Wins First National Lacrosse Title, Aided By Westchester Players Wesleyan University's men's lacrosse team won its first-ever NCAA Division III championship on Sunday, aided by the efforts of several former high school standouts from the area. The Cardinals, playing in their first-ever title game, defeated two-time defending national champion Salisbury 8-6 in Foxborough, Mass. Salisbury was looking for its 13th national championship.
