Construction Worker Seriously Injured After 20-Foot Fall In Hudson Valley
A construction worker was seriously injured after falling from a second-floor roof to the first floor. The incident took place in Orange County around 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 in the town of Highland Falls on Owens Farm Road. According to the Highland Falls Police Chief Frank Basile, a construction worker was working on a second-floor roof when he fell 20 to 30 feet to the first-floor roof area. Black ice conditions led to an 18-vehicle pile-up on Route 9W in the Hudson Valley that caused four minor injuries. The crash took place in Orange County around 6:15 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27 in the town of Highlands on Route 9W southbound between Route 218 and the West Point overlook. 29-Year-Old Rushed To Westchester Medical Center Dies After BMW Crashes Down Embankment
A 29-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle crash that happened in the area over the weekend. It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, in Orange County on Long Mountain Traffic Circle in the Town of Highland. A preliminary investigation by state police from the Haverstraw barracks revealed that Pierre D. Brooks, age 29, from the Bronx, was operating a 2000 BMW when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway on the northeast shoulder and traveled approximately 40 feet down an embankment.
