House Fire Breaks Out In Area Crews from throughout the area worked to extinguish a fire that broke out in an area home. First responders in Putnam County were called to the house on Drewville Road in Carmel at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department spokesperson Jack Casey said. Head-On Rollover Crash Injures Three In Carmel A rollover crash in Putnam County left three people hospitalized following a head-on collision in Carmel. First responders were dispatched to Drewville Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, police said. Two were transported to Putnam Hospital, and a third was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center following the crash with non-life-threatening injuries. The ambulance, carrying a patient, slid off the icy roadway around 7:23 a.m. Friday at 211 Drewville Road, police said. There was no word of additional injuries.
