Man Dies Shoveling Snow In NJ: Police
A 67-year-old man died shoveling snow in Essex County, New Jersey on Sunday, Jan. 25, authorities said. At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to Beach Road and Martin Road for a report of a person down on the sidewalk, Verona police said. They found the man on his back unresponsive with a shovel in his hand, police said. CPR was initiated and he was transported to Mountainside Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The victim has not been identified, police said.

20-Year-Old Man Killed In Shooting In Hudson Valley
A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Rockland County, police said. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 20, around 5:15 p.m., when Spring Valley Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 2 Dutch Ln., the department said on Sunday, Sept. 21.
