SUV Crashes Into Hudson Valley Home An SUV plowed into the front of a Hudson Valley home after being in a crash with a school bus.  The incident occurred in Rockland County on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Laurel Road and Glenside Drive in New City. According to the Clarkstown Police, the SUV struck a Clarkstown Central School District bus while turning left onto Laurel Road.  A preliminary report indicated the SUV was traveling above the speed limit, causing it to veer off the roadway and strike a nearby house, police said. Swastikas Found At High School In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after several swastikas were discovered at an area high school. The incident took place in Rockland County on Wednesday, March 22, when a school resource officer assigned to Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack was informed that swastikas were discovered in a classroom, said Clarkstown PD Det. Norm Peters. Rockland County resident Cathy Malgieri, of New City, died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 27, according to Jeff Sobel, acting interim superintendent of school for the Clarkstown Central School District. Former Teacher In Hudson Valley Accused Of Sexually Abusing 15-Year-Old A former school teacher in the Hudson Valley has been arrested on various charges connected with sexually abusing a 15-year-old victim. Samantha Silberman, age 30, was arrested on Monday, May 10 in Rockland County by the Clarkstown Police on sexual abuse and misconduct charges, said Detective Norm Peters. Silberman, a former teacher within the Clarkstown Central School District, is accused of abusing a 15-year old victim in late 2019 and early 2020, Peters said.
