Four people were rescued late Saturday night following a 911 call of a water emergency involving Jet Ski watercraft in distress on the Hudson River in the vicinity of Norrie Point Marina in the hamlet of Staatsburgh in Hyde Park. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner's Office said late Thursday afternoon that man pulled from the river is Paul Moschitta, 49, of the City of Poughkeepsie, who had been missing since July 24 when he jumped into the river to help a struggling swimmer. The incident which began around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, involves six people who were reported having problems in the water near the pier by the Rip Van Winkle apartments.  Five people have been transported to an area hospital.
