Two-Alarm House Fire Displaces LaGrange Family A LaGrange family was left homeless after a two-alarm blaze ripped through their Johnson Road residence.  The blaze was first reported around 4:30 a.m. Friday, March 15 at 27 Johnson Road, in LaGrange, said LaGrange Fire Chief Barry Ward. 12 Westchester Residents Charged In State Police New Year's DWI Details New York State Police troopers busted two dozen local motorists over the New Year holiday weekend who were allegedly driving while impaired in the area. The local residents charged were: Westchester County On Saturday, Dec. 29, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Gideon Taub, 28, of Dobbs Ferry, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of raping a 4-year-old in Westchester has reported a move into Dutchess County. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office issued an alert to local residents regarding the residency of 33-year-old Richard Lazzari, who reported a move in the area of Clapp Hill Road in Beekman, near LaGrange, earlier this year. Car Ignites After Illegal Dutchess County Brush Fire After an illegally set brush fire spread to a car, sending it into flames, residents across the area are being warned not to burn any brush until a ban is lifted in May. The fire broke out around 12:40 p.m. Monday in the area of Sylvan Lake Road in the town of Beekman, according to Lt. Shawn Castano of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.  An Investigation into the fire revealed that a local resident was burning brush in violation of the New York State DEC Burn Ban.
