Much-Loved Brewery Permanently Closes In Northern Westchester After One Last Event
A brewery in Northern Westchester that served as the site of countless beloved memories for visitors has closed for good.
Peekskill Brewery, located at 47 South Water St. in Peekskill, announced its permanent closure on Monday, Nov. 27 in a post on social media.
In their post, the owners did not give a reason for the closure but thanked those who came to the brewery's last "Kick the Keg" Happy Hour event held on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
"Thank you all for your posts, emails, phone calls," the owners wrote, adding, "We wish you all a happy and healthy Holiday Season!"

A missing Hudson Valley man hiking the Appalachian Trail died after being caught in the current of a brook in Vermont, according to authorities.
Dutchess County resident Robert Kerker, age 67, of Rhinebeck, who had been missing since Sunday, July 9, was located about 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, by search crews along the Stony Brook in Stockbridge, Vermont, about 1.5 miles downstream from where the trail crossed the brook.

Police have identified two electric workers who were found dead at the bottom of an electric pole after firefighters responded to a brush fire in Orange County.
Derrick Paris, 51, of West Caldwell, New Jersey, and Justin McLoughlin, 28, of Trenton, Georgia, were working as private contractors for Orange & Rockland Utilities, when the were killed, said ABC 7.
