Walden Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Child Under 13

WALDEN, N.Y. – A Walden man is facing charges of predatory sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, according to New York Sate Police.

Alton Royal, 53, was arrested and arraigned on the felony charges on Thursday, Troopers said.

Royal was remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.

This was a joint investigation between the Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit, which is comprised of members from the State Police, Orange County Sherriff’s Office, Port Jervis Police Department and the Goshen Police Department, the Orange County CPS and state police investigators from NYC.
