Shaheed Emery, 37, was taken into custody around 5 a.m. Friday following an extensive investigation by City of Middletown Police Department, assisted by the Orange County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit, and the New York State Police into drug trafficking taking place at the residence at 43 Lafayette Avenue, said the Middle Police Department.
During the search of the residence, officers found 155 grams of crack cocaine, 55 grams of cocaine, 80 grams of fentanyl, 12 grams of marijuana, a loaded .22 caliber handgun and $33,000 in cash, officials said.
Emery was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned in Middletown City Court and is being held without bail at the Orange County Jail.
