Eight Orange County Residents Face DWI Charges After State Police Stops

Several Hudson Valley residents were among 17 motorists taken off the road by New York State Police troopers over the weekend for alleged impaired driving.

Orange County

  • On Friday, Jan. 25, State Police troopers from Wurtsboro arrested James Galletly, 50 of Bloomingburg, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 61 in Mamakating when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Jan. 26, State Police troopers from Highland arrested Jason Kooperman, 48 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 9W in Lloyd when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Jan. 26, State Police troopers from Greenville (Orange County) arrested Matthew Brink, 22 of Port Jervis, for DWI. He was traveling on Bushville Road in Greenville when he was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Responding troopers interviewed Brink, the operator of the vehicle, and determined that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Jan. 26, State Police troopers from Monroe arrested Susannah Kochovos, 45 of Middletown, for DWI. She was traveling on Maple Avenue in Warwick when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Jan. 26, State Police troopers from Wurtsboro arrested Jose Guevara, 26 of Middletown, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 17 in Thompson when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Monroe arrested Joseph Calise, 22 of Warwick, for DWI. He was traveling on North Main Street in Florida, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Hamptonburgh arrested Robert Morris, 25 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Lattintown Road in Newburgh, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Terin Williams, 27 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 17K in Newburgh, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

Rockland County

  • On Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Haverstraw arrested Christian Nuez, 50 of Stony Point, for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Clarkstown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Haverstraw arrested Emmanuel Michael, 41 of Nanuet, for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Haverstraw, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Jan. 26, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Katelyn Salvione, 30 of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 9W in Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Jan. 27, State Police troopers from Coxsackie arrested John Lehane, 46 of Rhinebeck, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 23 in Catskill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
