Man Wanted For Sex Assault Nabbed In Newburgh

A man wanted on a 44-count indictment for multiple sexual assault and child pornography charges was nabbed Wednesday at the Super 8 Motel in Newburgh, according to Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois.

Paul Carper, 46, of Radford, Va., was arrested at the motel at 1287 Route 300, by members of the  U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, which includes a member of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. 

Carper s being held without bail at the Orange County Jail, awaiting extradition to Virginia.
