Blaze Consumes Home In Hudson Valley, Prompts Investigation Firefighters from multiple departments battled a house fire in Rockland County on Sunday evening, Feb. 16, that prompted an investigation into the cause of the blaze. The blaze began at around 7 p.m. at a residence on Stella Court in Stony Point, where arriving police officers found heavy smoke pouring from the residence, the Stony Point Police Department said. Hudson Valley Crash Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road.
