It comes after a jury indicted Ulster County-based Dr. Margaret Carpenter, of New Paltz, along with her company, Nightingale Medical, and the mother of a minor girl on Friday, Jan. 31, alleging that Carpenter shipped the girl an abortion pill. 12-Year-Old Girl Missing Nearly Week May Be In Middletown Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Hudson Valley girl who has been missing for nearly a week. Miamor Rivera, 12, of Poughkeepsie, was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 25, according to Poughkeepsie Police. She may have traveled to New Paltz or Middletown, police said. Rivera’s nose and ears are pierced, and she may wear glasses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Poughkeepsie Police Department at 845-451-4000. Driver On Revoked License Fled Fatal Route 32 Crash Scene: Cops A 34-year-old unlicensed driver has been arrested in connection with a crash that left a 37-year-old woman dead along an Ulster County roadway last week, authorities said. Alex B. Brown, 34, of New Paltz, was behind the wheel of a 2008 Subaru Forester when he ran over Victoria Cooper in Rosendale on Jan. 16 around 8:20 p.m., New York State Police said. Cooper entered the roadway when she was struck by a 2013 Toyota on State Route 32, and came to rest in the southbound lane where she was run over by Brown, police said. The initial driver remained at the scene, but Brown did not, police said.…

The incident occurred in Ulster County on Monday, Nov. 4, at the State Department of Environmental Conservation, targeting the DEC Region 3 office in New Paltz. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers searched the building and did not find any explosive devices.  The investigation into the threat is ongoing.
