Drunk Driver Plows Into State Police Car, Van During Hudson Valley Traffic Stop, Police Say Two New York State Troopers and two civilians were injured when an alleged drunk driver hit the back of a troop car while conducting a traffic stop. The incident occurred last week in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd, said Troop F officials. The collision caused the patrol car to hit the vehicle they had stopped, leaving two civilians and two troopers with minor injuries. Teen Duo Nabbed After Police Pursuit In Hudson Valley Two teens wanted for a variety of alleged traffic and vehicle violations fled from police before being nabbed in the Hudson Valley following a parking lot crash.  The incident began in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, when two teens in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Route 9W fled from police in an attempted traffic stop and ended in Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie, According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers pursued the vehicle toward the city of Poughkeepsie and terminated the pursuit before entering the city. Hudson Valley Teen Runaway Nabbed For Stealing Cars, Burglary, Theft, Police Say A 16-year-old runaway in the region has been nabbed for allegedly stealing two vehicles, burglary, and theft. The arrest occurred in Ulster County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the town of Lloyd. According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, the Lake Katrine teen was charged after a month-long investigation found the boy allegedly stole two vehicles, entered a residence, stole a cell phone and iPad, and took alcohol from a convenience store in Highland.
