Trooper Shoots Man Who Aimed Vehicle At Officer In Region, Police Say A 63-year-old man was shot once by a New York State trooper after he allegedly drove toward a police officer at a high rate of speed after threatening them with a gun.  The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at two locations on Route 97. The 26 were scooped up as part of a six-month-long investigation by numerous agencies throughout the Hudson Valley, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
