Armed Man Brings Major Police Presence To Sullivan County Home On Christmas: Sheriff
Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies safely resolved a tense domestic dispute involving an armed man early Christmas morning, authorities said. At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute at 144 Lucky Lake Drive in Rock Hill, the department said. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Justin J. Gallo, 37, had argued with family members, fired a shotgun through a glass door, and was threatening to harm himself. Man Slashes Victim’s Face, Damages Vehicle In NY: Police
A violent altercation in the region has led to the arrest of a man accused of allegedly assaulting another man with a knife and causing extensive damage to his vehicle. According to Lt. Mark Johnston of the Village of Monticello Police, the incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 13, at 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Stewart’s convenience store on Forestburgh Road. Dog Abuser Behind Bars For Beating Animal In Hudson Valley Until It Was Bleeding: Police
A 34-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal at a Hudson Valley home. Rawle A. Reynolds, of Brooklyn, was arrested around 12 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, after the Village of Monticello Police responded to a 911 call for a man "violently abusing a dog" at the Horizons apartments on Harmony Lane. Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police said a woman opened the door and said, "He's abusing the dog," as officers heard a dog crying out in pain. 'Fugitive From Justice' Wanted For Crime Spree In Region Extradited
A Hudson Valley man wanted for a slew of alleged crimes in the region has been extradited after being arrested out of state. Orange County resident Joseph Michael Flood, age 42, of Port Jervis, was returned to Sullivan County on Thursday, Nov. 7, after failing to show up in court in 2023 for a crime spree, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Chaboty said Flood was picked up from the Morris County Jail in New Jersey and returned after being arrested by the New Jersey State Police. A drug dealer/trafficker from the region was allegedly busted with three kilos of cocaine and other drugs along with cash following a two-month investigation. Sullivan County resident Raheen Meredith, age 50, of Thompson, was charged on Friday, Oct. 25. Man From Region Charged With Series Of Commercial Burglaries
A man from the region has been charged with allegedly committing three commercial burglaries. Sullivan County resident Emmanuel N. Berrian, age 34, of Monticello, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 29, and charged with three counts of felony burglary and petit larceny. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Berrian was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple burglaries that occurred in Monticello.
