Filming To Close Major Rockland County Roadway A busy Rockland County roadway will be closed on Monday, Dec. 16, to film a popular television series. The causeway will be closed between Ridge Road and Stonewall Lane in Clarkstown from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the filming of the NBC Peacock series Poker Face. Clarkstown Police said a detour route would be posted, routing vehicles to Route 304, Route 9W, and Old Haverstraw Rd. Laurent Rejto, director of the Hudson Valley Film Commission, confirmed the filming and said, "Unfortunately, unlike Season 1, most of Season 2 was filmed in New York City." SUV Crashes Into Hudson Valley Home An SUV plowed into the front of a Hudson Valley home after being in a crash with a school bus.  The incident occurred in Rockland County on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Laurel Road and Glenside Drive in New City. According to the Clarkstown Police, the SUV struck a Clarkstown Central School District bus while turning left onto Laurel Road.  A preliminary report indicated the SUV was traveling above the speed limit, causing it to veer off the roadway and strike a nearby house, police said. Route 9W Stretch Will Be Closed At Times For Nearly 2 Weeks: Here's When, Where A busy stretch of Route 9W will be closed at times for nearly two weeks during roadwork. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) says the stretch of the roadway will be  shut down in both directions beginning Monday, Sept. 23, through Friday, Oct. 4, to facilitate construction activities, weather permitting. The work will be in Clarkstown between Short Clove Road and Route 304 inightly between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Chang's in Rockland County at The Shops at Nanuet found the restaurant closed over the Labor Day weekend. A sign on the doors directed visitors to locations in Westchester County, located in White Plains, and Hackensack, New Jersey. Calls and emails to P.F. Chang's have not been returned. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 11:25 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, on I-87 in Clarkstown.
