Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home In Westchester
More than two dozen residents were displaced in Westchester after a fast-moving three-alarm fire tore through a multi-family home, authorities announced. Upwards of 100 firefighters from 14 departments responded in Sleepy Hollow to a North Washington Street home at approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, in Sleepy Hollow when a fire broke out and flames tore through the three-story residence. One Person Found Dead After House Fire Breaks Out In Westchester
Updated story: Victim Of Fatal Westchester House Fire Was A Popular Teacher, Former HS Athlete One person was killed during a house fire in Westchester. The blaze broke out at around noon, Sunday, Nov. 7 in the basement at 518 Walnut St., in the Village of Mamaroneck. According to Det Sgt Plinio Trujillo, of the Village of Mamaroneck Police, officers responded along with the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department, whose members quickly extinguished the fire. Dog Helps Save Church Nearly Destroyed By Fire In Northern Westchester
A barking dog helped save a Hudson Valley church that nearly burned down after a fire broke out that quickly spread to the attic, officials said. First responders in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties were dispatched to Assembly of God Church in Yorktown Heights, on Mahopac Avenue, at around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 30, where there was a reported fire that broke out in the building. ID Released For Woman Who Died In Westchester House Fire
A woman who died in a weekend house fire in Westchester has been identified. Cecelia Kussner, 85, was killed around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, in the fire at 490 Midland Ave. in Rye. Responding Rye Police and firefighters found fire coming from the second floor of the home, the department said.
