Man Accused Of Smashing Car Windows, Stealing Property In Region A 33-year-old man from the region has been nabbed for allegedly smashing windows and stealing property from vehicles. Sullivan County resident Philip A. Jacobs, age 33, of Monticello was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 15, following an investigation into numerous break-ins. According to Lt. Investigators in Rockland County from the Orangetown Police Department issued an alert cautioning that between 2:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, a man was caught on several Ring cameras breaking into cars or checking on door handles. Investigators said that two or three men have been breaking into parked cars between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., entering unlocked vehicles or breaking windows to gain access to the interior. Items such as bags, wallets, cash and electronics have been taken in the recent larcenies.
