30-Year-Old Takes Troopers On Pursuit On Taconic Parkway In Hudson Valley
A 30-year-old man has been charged with allegedly taking New York State Police on a pursuit on the Taconic Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County in Pleasant Valley around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2014 Ford Taurus northbound on the Taconic Parkway for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. Offensive Images, Words Spray Painted On Public Property In Northern Westchester
Police in Northern Westchester are searching for the person responsible for spray-painting racist graffiti. The graffiti was discovered in Yorktown where the Taconic Parkway passes over the Croton Reservoir northbound on Saturday, May 21. The graffiti, which was signed with the initials JJC, was done in blue spray paint and said "Jackson C. An adult bear and her cub that were apparently struck by a vehicle on the Taconic Parkway in Putnam Valley will be removed from the roadway by the Department of Transportation.The pair, first noticed by Daily Voice reader John Askildsen of Millbrook, has been on the southbound side of the highway, immediately south of the entrance at Peekskill Hollow Road, since Monday.
