Fire Forces School In Hudson Valley To Switch To Remote Learning
A Hudson Valley school was forced to go remote after a fire caused damage and left the building without electricity, officials announced. In Rockland County, the Lime Kiln Elementary School in Suffern transitioned to its distance learning model on Monday, Jan. 31 following a weekend fire that sparked in a boiler room from several electrical panels. Hudson Valley HS To Go Remote For Months
A Hudson Valley high school will be transitioning to its remote learning model for several months due to hazardous materials inside the building. In Rockland County, Clarence Ellis, the Superintendent of Schools for the East Ramapo Central School District announced that the Spring Valley High School will be going remote through January after conducting hazardous materials and air quality testing. Person Posing As Student Posts Lewd Photos At Area School's Zoom Meeting
A teacher in the Hudson Valley received an unexpected and unwanted visitor when a “Zoom-bomber” crashed her virtual class and displayed inappropriate images with students. The Highland Central School District in Ulster County issued a report following the incident involving the middle school, where someone logged into a Zoom class posing as a student and displayed lewd images on their computer screen.
