An early morning traffic stop in Rockland County led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Westchester man who was allegedly intoxicated and driving with a suspended license, police said. An officer from the Orangetown Police Department stopped White Plains resident Rodney McCallop shortly before 4 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 on North Broadway in Nyack when he committed a traffic violation. An attempted robbery in Rockland County went wrong for the robber who was arrested following the foiled attempt, police said. Nyack resident John Hall allegedly approached his victim near the intersection of Cedar Street and Main Street in Nyack at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, police said. An early morning traffic stop in Nyack led to the arrest of a 26-year-old woman who was allegedly intoxicated after blowing through a stop sign, police said. An officer from the Orangetown Police Department stopped Erica Espinales of Garfield, New Jersey, near the intersection of High Avenue and Polhemus Street in Nyack at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Friday, July 26, after she drove through a stop sign. A man is facing charges after police say he fell asleep behind the wheel in Nyack while impaired by drugs. Orangetown Police say they observed a vehicle on Artopee Way in Nyack on Thursday, April 25 around 1:30 a.m. Officers say the vehicle was stopped with the driver appearing to be asleep behind the wheel.
