Reported Drone Sighting Above Teterboro Grounds Newark Flights: Fact Or Fiction? Although some experts called it highly unlikely – primarily because of the weather – the FAA said a pair of drones were spotted flying 3,500 feet over Teterboro Airport, bumping flight times there and at Newark Liberty International Airport. This comes after Gatwick and Heathrow airports in the United Kingdom had flights delayed because of reported drone sightings. Incoming flights were able to land at Newark Airport until 5:45 p.m., but flights bound for Newark were held up at other airports for a short time. The longest reported delays were about 15 minutes..
