Gabby Petito's mother has filed a claim to recover her daughter's belongings from Brian Laundrie's parents' home, according to a new report. The Sun reported on Tuesday, Dec. 28, that Laundrie family lawyer Steven Bertolino said Petito's mother Nichole Schmidt has requested her daughter's belongings from the Florida home. The claim was filed in regard to Laundrie's parents' petition to become beneficiaries of his estate, the news outlet said. Gun Found Where Dog The Bounty Hunter Searched For Laundrie Being Held By Police, Report Says
Police in Florida have taken possession of a gun that was found in the area where Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman was searching for Long Island native Brian Laundrie, according to a new report. The Independent reported that around one week ago a man who was fishing in the water off of Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas County reeled in the gun, which was inside of a plastic bag. Police involved in the missing person case of Gabby Petito have acknowledged they made a mistake in their surveillance of Brain Laundrie. The North Port Police Department in Sarasota County, Florida, said in an interview on Monday, Oct. 25 with CNN affiliate WINK-TV that officers mistook Brian Laundrie's mother for him while running surveillance.
