Local Man Charged In Hudson Valley Cemetery Boat Dumping Incident A man has been charged after a boat was allegedly illegally dumped near a cemetery in the Hudson Valley. The 19-foot boat was dumped in Putnam County on Friday, Sept. 2 in the area of the Union Valley Cemetery in Carmel. According to Lt. Michael Bodo of the Carmel Police, responding officers found a Sunbird Corsair dumped on cemetery property. After inspecting the vessel, officers found that all identifiable markings had been intentionally removed from the boat, Bodo said. Man Caught By Off-Duty Cop Illegally Dumping In Westchester A Mount Vernon man was caught by an off-duty police officer illegally dumping leaking, rusty paint cans in Yonkers. Shortly before 5:15 on Monday, July 16, the off-duty officer spotted 40-year-old Juan Valdovinos allegedly leaving the cans in a grassy area on Sweetfield Circle near Cypress Street, prompting him to alert his fellow officers. According to Yonkers Police Sgt. Jared Singer, the officer determined that Valdovinos was illegally dumping the cans, and notified the on-duty captain of the illegal dumping.
