A 42-year-old man has admitted to felony drunk driving charges after injuring a Hudson Valley mayor who tried to help him, officials announced.
Orange County resident Matthew Labar of Goshen, age 42, pleaded guilty to felony DWI charges on Friday, Jan. 12, Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced on Friday, Jan. 26.

A 32-year-old woman from the region was charged with felony attempted purse snatching and assault after allegedly trying to grab a woman's purse, knocking her down, and breaking her wrist.
Sullivan County resident Jessica J. Myers, of Monticello was charged on Monday, Aug. 7 for the Monday, July 31 incident that took place on Broadway in the village of Monticello.
Myers attempted to forcibly steal a purse from a 56-year-old woman, who did not know Myers, said Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police.

21-Year-Old Accused Of Stealing Checks From Mailboxes, Vehicles In Northern Westchester
A 21-year-old has been accused of stealing checks from mailboxes and unattended vehicles in the area.
On Friday, Sept. 16, New York State Police, in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service, arrested Robert Curry Jr., age 21, of Peekskill, after an investigation into larcenies in Northern Westchester County and western Putnam County.
Police said the stolen checks were fraudulently deposited.
Curry has been charged with:
Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class D felony,
