Two people were injured during a helicopter crash in the Hudson Valley, according to the FAA. The crash took place around 8:56 a.m., Friday, June 18, while the pilot of the McDonnell Douglas 500 helicopter was inspecting power lines near Swan Lake in Sullivan County, the FAA said. State Police in the Hudson Valley will soon have some new tools to fight crime and enforce the law in New York. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the launch of a new “State Police Unmanned Aerial System” program, which will involve the use of aerial drones that will be put into service later this month.
