IDs Released For Mother, Son Killed In Westchester Fire The identities have been released of two people killed in an apartment fire in Westchester. The blaze broke out at around 6:40 a.m. Friday, June 21 in New Rochelle. After knocking down the fire, crews performed search of apartment and found two victims, one in each bedroom, both unresponsive, according New Rochelle Fire Commissioner Andrew J. Sandor. 11 Residents Of Senior Living Complex In Hospital After Fire In Northern Westchester A fire at a senior living complex in Northern Westchester sent 11 residents to a hospital and has displaced those living on an entire floor of a building, fire officials said.  The fire happened on Wednesday, Dec. 28 around 12:30 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown were sent to the Beaver Ridge Apartments located at 1965 Allan Ave. after smoke was reported in the C building, according to Yorktown Heights Fire Department Chief Timothy Mentrasti.  After entering the building, firefighters discovered smoke in the common hallway of the C wing, which was isolated from the rest of …

Electrical Fire Shuts Down Stretch Of Lime Kiln Road An electrical fire on a utility pole has shut down a portion of Lime Kiln Road.The Ramapo Police Department said they are on the scene of the fire along with the Hillcrest Fire Department at Lime Kiln Road near Route 306.  O&R Utilities is enroute.  Motorists are asked to avoid the area.  Power is reportedly out to several homes in the area. It is not known how long it will take to restore it.

Nine Suffer Injuries, 60 Displaced In Mamaroneck Apartment Fire More than 60 residents of a Mamaroneck apartment complex are without homes following a fire that sent nine people to the hospital for smoke inhalation, according to Town of Mamaroneck Fire Chief Paul Tortorella.The department received the call for a mattress fire around 4:12 a.m. Friday in a fourth-floor apartment at 3 Dillon Road, the chief said.
