Man Violates Order To Stay Away From His Mother In Rockland, Police Say
For the third time this month, a mother-and-son dispute required police intervention in Rockland County after the latter violated a court order. Investigators from the Ramapo Police Department received a call from a Sloatsburg resident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, stating that her son had returned to her house in violation of a “stay away order of protection” and was sleeping on her couch. 37-Year-Old Stabs Mother During Rockland Domestic Dispute, Police Say
Police intervention was required to help break up a domestic incident between a mother and son in Rockland County for the second time this month. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department were dispatched to a Sloatsburg home at approximately 3 a.m. on Monday, July 15, where there was a report of a domestic dispute between a woman and her son. Police said that the caller reported that her 37-year-old son had cut her with a knife after a verbal dispute. Separate Serious Crashes Occur In Rockland Amid Icy Conditions
First responders had a busy morning busy morning battling icy roadways in Rockland, dealing with a pair of incidents that saw cars and trucks skittering off the road. Although highway crews were out in force on Wednesday morning tending to the icy and slippery roads, the Ramapo Police Department and other first responders were dealing with a crash in Sloatsburg when a Sanitation truck slid off the road on Route 17.
