Body Of Man Pulled From Hudson River The body of a man was found floating in the Hudson River in the area of the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Dutchess County Sheriff's officials received reports of a possible body floating near the bridge around noon Tuesday, July 31, said Lt. Shawn Castano. Two department boats were dispatched and deputies located the body in the river, he said. The body was removed from the river by members of the Sheriff’s Office, City of Poughkeepsie Police and Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office. Man Found Dead Pinned Under Dodge Ram On Route 22 An investigation is underway after a 58-year-old Fairfield County man was found dead underneath a pickup truck in Dutchess County. New York State Police troopers responded to a 911 dispatch of a man pinned under a vehicle on Route 22 in the town of Pawling on Friday, June 1 just before 8 a.m.  James C. Roberts of Danbury was trapped under a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Pawling Fire Department removed the vehicle, but Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene by EMStar Paramedics. Robert Benson, the crash occurred around 8 a.m., Monday in the area of South Quaker Lane and Dana Place. Once on scene, officers found a head-on crash between the bus and the car with a possible ejection. An investigation into the crash revealed that a 2002 Honda Civic was traveling north on South Quaker Lane, and a 2015 Ford Red Hook School bus traveling south on South Quaker lane collided.
