Photos: Two Hospitalized After Crash At Rockland Intersection
Two were injured in Rockland County after crashing at a busy intersection, police said. A driver was t-boned at the intersection of Route 59 and College Road in Ramapo early in the morning on Tuesday, Aug. 11 when a driver sped through the traffic light. Police said that the drivers of the two vehicles were treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash forced a temporary closure of the intersection as police investigated the incndent and cleared the scene. Both drivers have since been released from the hospital.

State Police Pursuit Into Rockland Tops 100 MPH, Ends In Arrest
A high-speed New Jersey State Police pursuit that began Wednesday night in Morris County ended nearly a half-hour later in Rockland with a suspect in custody, responders said. The nearly 30-mile chase began on northbound Route 287 shortly before 8 p.m. With wet road conditions and speeds eventually topping 100 miles per hours, troopers began to pull back as the suspect exited at Airmont Road in Suffern, responders said. Unlicensed 16-Year-Old Crashes Parents' Minivan At High Rate Of Speed In Rockland
An unlicensed 16-year-old was arrested after allegedly taking his parents' vehicle without permission and crashing at a high rate of speed. The incident took place in Rockland County around 1:45 a.m., Friday, June 5, in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police, an officer was sitting at a red light on Viola Road at College Road when he spotted a 2018 Toyota Minivan run the red light at a high rate of speed, allegedly almost hitting the officer's vehicle. Driver Hospitalized After Audi Crashes Into Utility Pole In Ramapo
A motorist was hospitalized after losing control of a car and driving into a utility pole. Members of the Ramapo Police Department and paramedics were dispatched to College Road early on Monday, Nov. 26, where there was a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a driver in an Audi. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found the car, which sustained heavy front-end damage and the broken utility pole, which cracked on impact. Roadwork Alert: Latest Round Of Resurfacing Scheduled In Rockland
Motorists should expect delays as contracting crews begin their latest road resurfacing project in Rockland. The Rockland County Highway Department issued an alert on Thursday advising that beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, roadwork will be performed along Highview Road from College Road to Maple Avenue in Ramapo. There will also be work on Lime Kilm Road, from Route 202 to Wilder Road. Work is expected to be performed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Delays are expected for several days.
