Man Who Traveled Across NY To Kill Ex-Wife's Partner Apprehended In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man was apprehended in the region after authorities say he traveled hundreds of miles across New York to murder his ex-wife's partner. State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police. Daytime Closures Scheduled On Taconic State Parkway In Region Be ready for possible travel delays on the Taconic State Parkway in the coming days. Road crews in Columbia County will be closing both directions of the parkway between Chatham and Claverack beginning Tuesday, Aug. 16, the NY State Department of Transportation said. Full closures are planned from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. between I-90 and State Route 295 through Thursday, Aug. 18. Four Orange County Residents Nabbed For DWI New York State Police arrested numerous people over the weekend in DWI incidents in Orange, Dutchess and Rockland counties. Orange County:  Walter Post, 22, of Wallkill, was charged with DWI on Friday after being stopped for a traffic violation on Route 208 in the Village of Walden.  Edward Bordas, 30, of Newburgh, was charged with DWI following a stop on Route 52 Friday in the town of Newburgh.
