A 67-year-old long-distance swimmer who went missing Friday in the Hudson River drowned, authorities confirmed early Saturday. What initially had been a search became a "recovery effort," the Coast Guard said. A Long Island man has been charged with exposing himself on two occasions at a highway service area in the Hudson Valley. A tractor-trailer driver was killed over the weekend when his truck crashed into another tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway, state police announced. Beacon Woman Charged With DWI After Route 9W Traffic Stop
A Dutchess County woman was among five busted by New York State Police troopers Orange County for alleged impaired driving. Troopers stopped Beacon resident Tina Owen, 35, on Wednesday, March 6, on State Route 9W in Newburgh for committing a vehicle and traffic law violation.
