Self-Cleaning Oven Sparks Blaze At Apartment Complex In Croton-On-Hudson A blaze at a Northern Westchester apartment complex sparked by a self-cleaning oven was quickly stopped in its tracks thanks to quick action from firefighters.  The fire happened on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at around 1:20 p.m., when smoke was seen coming from the Bari Manor Apartments on Old Post Road South in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department.  Arriving fire crews quickly made their way to a second-floor apartment and found that a grease fire had begun inside an oven. Driver Flown to Hospital After Truck Rolls Over On I-84 In Hudson Valley An interstate in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a truck overturned, injuring the driver.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10, when a truck crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Route 312 in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  As a result of the crash, the driver became trapped inside the truck's twisted structure. Intermittent Traffic Stoppages To Affect Route 133 In New Castle: Here's When Those who hate sitting in traffic for long periods should watch out for planned intermittent stoppages on a busy Northern Westchester road.  A series of 15-minute traffic stoppages on Route 133 between Henry Place and Route 9 in the town of New Castle are planned for Wednesday, Sept. 11, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The stoppages will last between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, officials added.  They will allow for overhead wire work in the area.

Driver Injured In 2-Car Crash In Front Of Historic Hudson Valley Manor A two-car crash in front of a historic Northern Westchester manor-turned-museum caused injuries, firefighters said.  The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Saturday, Sept. 7 at around 7:20 p.m., when two vehicles collided in front of Van Cortlandt Manor on South Riverside Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews dealt with a fluid spill from one of the cars while EMS treated a driver injured in the crash.  Both vehicles were later towed away, the department said. The cause of the crash was not released.
