Rockland Woman Dies From Injuries In Route 304 Crash

A Stony Point woman injured in a serious two-car crash on Route 304 in New City on Monday has died from her injuries, Clarkstown Police said Tuesday.

Louise Ruffino, 86, died several hours after the crash that occurred around 2:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Route 304 and Cosmos Lane, in New City, according to Clarkstown Officer Peter Walker.

The crash shut down the roadway for several hours as officers worked to reconstruct the accident, he added. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and at this point, no summons or arrests have been made, Walker said.
