As Daily Voice reported earlier this week, the New York State Police's Marine Services Bureau was trying to locate the owner of yacht, which appeared to be out of Congers, in Rockland County.

The Journal News reports that the boat had recently been sold to a West Virginia man, Ricky Adkins -- who had mechanical problems while out on it last week.

Though Adkins anchored the boat in Little Egg Inlet when he caught a ride to shore, the tides had other ideas, according to the Journal News.
