Man Stopped On I-87 In Clarkstown Had 28 Grams Of Pot, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A routine traffic stop on I-87 led to drug charges for a Rockland County man who was found to be in possession of a sizable amount of marijuana.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, New York State police troopers pulled over 34-year-old Spring Valley resident Hosea McCleese for committing a vehicle and traffic violation. During the subsequent stop, police said that it was determined McCleese was in possession of approximately 28 grams of marijuana, which was found in his trunk.

McCleese was taken into custody, transported to state police barracks in Tarrytown, where he was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. He was released and is due back in the Town of Clarkstown Court on Wednesday, May 31.
