Five fraudulent credit card accounts were opened in a Ramapo's woman's name, with charges totaling $2,800, according to police.
There were charges from a major electronics retailer, two major department stores, and an online travel company.
Police also responded to 24 alarm activations, eight medical emergencies, six fires, and seven arrests including charges for,
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Criminal possession of marijuana
- Criminal possession of stolen property
- Unlawful possession of marijuana
- Bench warrant
- Vehicle and traffic offenses
- Local law violation
Police also responded to 14 motor vehicle accidents in the following locales: four in Airmont, three in Chestnut Ridge, three in Monsey, two in Montebello, and one in both Hillcrest, and Sterlington.
Two of the accidents were hit and runs. Two accidents involved injuries.
