STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A stretch of Route 9W was closed Wednesday afternoon after a tractor-trailer crashed into a telephone pole.
The closure, between North Liberty Drive and Tomkins Avenue, was reported around 2:30 p.m.
The pole reportedly spilled diesel fuel immediately after it was struck by the tractor-trailer, which was carrying tree trunks.
